Sugar Creek Christian Home Educators is a cooperative of Christian families committed to supporting and encouraging one another to teach our children at home.

SCCHE serves the southwest Houston, Texas area. Although our members primarily reside in Houston, Missouri City, Richmond and Sugar Land, many members live in neighboring communities.

NewsLetter Deadline

The deadline for articles to be submitted for the September newsletter is August 20.

The Home Schooler’s Perspective

From SCCHE’s new president:

As we were reflecting on the beginning of our homeschooling journey three long years ago, we stopped and thanked our Lord for providing SCCHE. We had numerous questions pertaining to schedules, curriculum, college acceptance, social opportunities and extra-curricular activities. The Lord provided immeasurably more than we could have imagined through you. Honestly, we never expected the kind of love, fellowship, encouragement and faithful dedication that we found in this body of believers. It has also been a blessing to witness Christ work through you on behalf of others. We have watched in amazement as you have provided meals, childcare, lawn care, transportation, godly counsel, financial assistance and prayer for many other families in need. Our prayer is that SCCHE would continue to minister to all families the Lord draws to our group. May each of our hearts respond to His call to service!

We also would like to take a moment to say a special “thank you” to the Belchers for their faithfulness to our families. For the past six years, the Belchers have willingly served each of us in ways we may never see. Thank you for your dedication to our success!

We look forward to serving alongside each of you and welcome your suggestions.

In His Service,
Frank & Christine
