Membership Information There are two types of membership in SCCHE, Full and Associate. Requirements - - Full Membership: Must be home schooling at least one child, Kindergarten or above (Must be age 5 by September 1 of the current school year). Home schooling, as defined by HSLDA and accepted by SCCHE, requires that at least 50% of the instruction is performed by the parent or legal guardian.
OR Associate Membership: Purpose to home school, but oldest child is not yet school age (Age 5 by September 1 of the current year). - Sign the group statement of faith.
- Pay annual dues.
- Sign the group statement of regulations for field trips and social functions.
- Be interviewed by a member of the Executive Council or an appointee.
Privileges - - Ability to vote on members of Executive Council and any issues presented to the group by the Executive Council.
- Ability to participate in all group activities (Annual dues may not cover additional costs incurred by activities.)
- Receive a monthly newsletter, handbook, and directory.
Responsibilities - - Agreement with the cooperative’s Statement of Faith.
- Willingness to respect and follow group policy and guidelines.
- Willingness to assume responsibility in the group’s cooperative activities.

Note that the information packet is merely a distillation of information found on this web site. - After reviewing these materials and the requirements for membership, you may contact SCCHE or call the SCCHE information line to notify us of your intention to join SCCHE and your plans to be at an upcoming event that offers the opportunity for new member interviews. Please be specific of the event in which you plan to attend. We will arrange for an interviewer to be present to speak with you.
- We will email you times and locations when you notify us of your plans to attend. Opportunities are tentatively scheduled for each Mix and Mingle Night. New members should plan to stay for the entire meeting. No interviews will be conducted over the phone. Come to the interview prepared to discuss the SCCHE Statement of Faith, the SCCHE Regulations for Social and Educational Functions , and how you anticipate being involved with SCCHE. You will receive a membership application at the interview.
